Previewing Our Next All-Electric Volkswagen for Sale
Being in the automobile industry means always asking what’s next or what can be improved. Even when auto makers are releasing a brand-new vehicle, they’re already formulating plans on how to top it.
This is how they are able to continually roll out vehicles that are faster, offer more torque, run more efficiently, and have more safety and convenience features than ever before.
When people see a new Volkswagen for sale at our dealership, we want them driving off the lot with the knowledge that they have purchased an automaker’s best work to date.
Some years ago, the line of questioning shifted slightly and people wanted to know “when?” As in: “When are you releasing an electric vehicle?” At that point in time, the U.S. had seen few automakers have success with it.
VW ID. 4 – The Founding VW Electric Vehicle
Rather than rush an EV vehicle to market that would have battery troubles or performance issues (as some other manufacturers have had), Volkswagen took the time to develop something special – something worth the wait. That vehicle turned out to be the Volkswagen ID.4, which was the automaker’s first foray into the electric vehicle market.
This future-forward SUV can run approximately 260 miles on a single charge, is packed with every safety and convenience feature in the VW repertoire, and boasts some of the sleekest interior and exterior design features of any other VW in company history.
How good is the VW ID.4? Well, it won the 2021 World Car of the Year Award. Drivers and reviewers alike love it.
But even after a win like that, the question remains: what’s next?
A New VW Electric Car is Available Soon
True to form, as soon as the VW ID.4 rolled out, the team of designers and engineers at Volkswagen went right back to work. They needed yet another Volkswagen electric car for sale, and one that would improve upon the one they had just finished. After years of work and going through several different iterations of concepts, they finally completed the VW ID. LIFE, which debuted at the Munich Auto Show back in September.
As future-forward as the ID.4 is, the ID. LIFE is even more so, both in design and its construction and features. This all-new all-electric subcompact SUV is designed for first-time car buyers who need a stylish, eco-friendly ride to get them around the city.
Here are the top three reasons we think car buyers are going to love the ID. LIFE.
#1 – The ID. LIFE Will Be Super Affordable
We all know one of the huge reservations that consumers have when it comes to electric vehicles: they’re too expensive. Making EV vehicles affordable has been something every vehicle manufacturer has struggled with, but Volkswagen has mastered it.
When the Volkswagen ID. LIFE rolls out, it will be with the starting MSRP of an estimated $24,000, which easily makes it one of the most competitively priced all-electric SUVs on the market. You can leave your sticker shock at home. You won’t need it at VW Lee’s Summit.
#2 – The ID. LIFE Will Be Incredibly Eco-Friendly
All-electric vehicles are good for the environment. We all know that. Hopefully, we can get to a point where every car, truck, and SUV on the road is creating zero emissions. However, there are other ways to help save the planet other than that.
With the ID. LIFE, Volkswagen dug deep on ways we could further improve the eco-friendliness of our vehicles. The answer? Recycled materials.
The VW ID. LIFE uses several recycled materials throughout its construction. For instance, the vehicle’s paint is colored using wood chips and the roof is made from recycled bottles. Additionally, the tires are made from biologically based oils, rice husks, and natural rubber.
#3 – The ID. LIFE Will Be Far More Advanced Than Any Other VW
If Volkswagen is going to roll out a Volkswagen electric car for sale, then the features need to be as advanced as possible. Otherwise, what’s the point?
And although the ID. LIFE is still very much in the concept phase, there are already a few ideas that seem to have taken root and will be included in the final release. One of the features aims to replace traditional mirrors using cameras, which will provide drivers with high-definition visuals along with the ability to pan and zoom. Additionally, the ID. LIFE will focus on smartphone integration, using the driver’s Android or Apple phone as the vehicle’s center touchscreen. Early images also show an open-topped steering wheel that has a touchscreen as the center to control driving features and its gear selector.
Want to Go All-Electric Right Now? We Have the Volkswagen ID.4 for Sale
Although the ID. LIFE won’t be available in the U.S. market for a while, the good news is that the Volkswagen ID.4 is available for customers to custom build and reserve right now. This is the very same VW electric car that took home the 2021 World Car of the Year Award, so there’s never been a better time to try out an EV vehicle.
It also bears mentioning that any new 2021 or 2022 vehicle you buy from us will come with VW Carefree Coverage. Think of it as a long-term protection over your new investment. It includes the following
