Preparing Your Volkswagen For Spring

Before spring starts, check on these critical maintenance items. These items help you prepare for warmer weather and different road conditions.

• Inspect your battery – Batteries wear down faster and lose capacity during the cold winter months. Hot summers can also cause battery issues. In the spring, your battery should be tested. This ensures it has enough life to make it through the warmer months.
• Wash and detail your car – Have your car thoroughly washed and wax to get rid of winter road grime. Detailing your car extends the life of the paint and interior.
• Check and replace your wiper blades – If you were using winter wipers, then change them to standard wipers once the weather warms up. If you used standard wipers all winter, then they likely suffered damage and wear during the winter and should be changed as well.
